Guests will also be given material on all of the itineraries proposed by the director that can be carried out within the city and the surrounding areas: mannerism in Tuscany, Piero della Francesca, Luca Signorelli.

 HOW TO REACH US By car
We will give special permits to guests who intend to arrive by car with which they will be able to access the old town. The Residence's private car park is situated in the square adjacent to the cylindrical bell tower. 

To reach Residenza Antica Canonica by car:
- From Milan and Bologna exit at Cesena. Take the E45 highway in the direction of Perugia-Roma and exit at Città di Castello (North or South), then follow the signposts for the city centre;
- From Rome, exit at Orte. Take the E 45 highway in the direction of Perugia-Cesena and exit at Città di Castello (North or South), then follow the signposts for the city centre;
- From Florence: A1 motorway, exit at Arezzo, direction: Città di Castello;
- From Fano and from the Adriatic take the E 78 highway (Flaminia) and the state road SS 257.

By train
We are pleased to offer our guests free transfers from the station to the Residence and vice versa.
Getting to Residenza Antica Canonica by train:
- On the Florence-Rome line you can get out at Arezzo (all trains stop here except for the Eurostar) and proceed by bus (Autolinee Sita ) until arriving at Città di Castello;
- F.C.U. Line Sansepolcro-Terni: in correspondence with the State railway lines, it crosses the whole of Alta Valle del Tevere.



 By plane
Residenza Antica Canonica can organize its guests a minibus transfer service to and from the airport.
Umbria international airport "Sant'Egidio" is situated just 50km from us. To reach Città di Castello you can hire a car, take the train or the bus as far as Perugia and from there proceed to Città di Castello.
Other airports nearby are Perugia, Pisa, Firenze, Roma, Bologna-Forlì, Rimini & Ancona. All of which are within a two and a half hour drive from Città di Castello.

Flying from the UK:

With Ryanair. Ryanair does a flight from LONDON STANSTED to PERUGIA three times a week. The transfer time is only 30 minutes.

Also from LONDON STANSTED: BOLOGNA -FORLI' (1,5 hours drive away), ANCONA (2 hours drive away) PISA & ROMA CIAMPINO (2,5 hours drive away).
